Sequential Imagery

This is my entry for sequential imagery. I used the topic of drinking and driving.

I used the image of a wine glass to evoke the 'sexiness' of drinking, and paired it with a Lotus Exige to represent the 'sexiness' of driving. To represent the obvious dangers of combining the two, I used a crashed car that I couldn't identify for anything.

The crashed car is drastically different from the wine glass and Lotus, which both have very smooth and planned lines. The crashed car, on the other hand, is a mangled mess of bent reflective surfaces and bits of machinery poking out of it.

  1. Takarias, this is amazing message. i think you are implicating the idea of drinking and driving is nasty but the drink and the car separate is nice. i would suggest dropping the opacity on the background and making the images a bit bigger. alliteratively i can suggest that you make the images in color and maybe with the Hue and Saturation tool to make the images more recognizable. The black images and the place background take a way from the eye capturing the imagery. as for the idea and the message A Plus

  3. Your images are great - very crisp and clear.  The white on black background reads well and the images tie together perfectly to the tell the story.  The glamour/sexiness of the first two photos contrast perfectly to the wrecked car. The images clearly convey your message and might be able to stand alone with very little text.
You've chosen a topic of great social concern and displayed the message poignantly while maintaining an image that doesn't make you turn away.  Nice job.
