To summarize the major changes, I lessened the 'scratches' layer, modified the layout to better display each element, reduced visual noise in the background, and changed color balance to better draw attention to the foreground.
I like how you really made the colors pop in your enhanced version. it looks much better. One thing i would suggest would be to maybe change the background a little bit. Enhance it make it brighter or blend it in more.
